Kate Vance- Children & Youth Director
Kate leads our preschool, elementary students, and teens in learning about Jesus. As a lifelong member of our church, Kate has been part of our Sunday school, Vacation Bible School and youth programs for over 25 years. In addition to her work at FUMC, Kate has worked with children over the past 15 years.
Kate says, “I love working with kids of all ages and watching them grow, especially when it’s their personal relationship with God. From the preschoolers who learn best through art and music, to the elementary kids who soak up Bible trivia like a sponge, to the teens questioning who they are in the world and who they are to God. It’s an honor to serve at FUMC. I strive to live out my favorite verse, Micah 6:8 ‘He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you: to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.’”
